This Himalayan turmeric powder is directly sourced
from the farmers cultivating on the foothills of Himalayas
at an altitude of above 8000ft above sea level,
in Munisiyari situated in the Kumaon region of Uttarkhand.
It is organically grown using indigenous traditional
methods, sundried and ground using Gharat/Pun-Chakki (water mill),
an ancient technology used by our ancestors using river water stream
as the source of energy to function
without affecting the environment adversely
and above all prevents over-heating,
preserving its natural essential oils in the process,
making it high quality.
Turmeric plant is native to Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia.
India produces nearly all of the world’s turmeric crop
and consumes around 60% of it. We have handpicked this variety
which is cultivated in very small quantities
by the farmers and is native to Uttarakhand region.
